SSTD starting for the negotiations with the Fairground operators and Fair Organizations in accordance with the decision of the Board of Management performed its first negotiation with IDTM (İstanbul World Trade Center) General Manager Mr. Haluk Kanca.

As it is known, IDTM is a consortium in which İTO, TOBB and İstanbul Metropolitan Municipality are the major partners and it is one of the biggest fairground operators of Turkey.

IDTM still manages and operates the fairgrounds in İstanbul Fair  Center, Trabzon Fair  Center and Kayseri Fair  center.

The first negotiation was performed in Yeşilköy İstanbul Fair  Center General Directorate of İDTM. The General Manager Mr. Haluk Kanca participated to the meeting on behalf of İDTM, Chairman of Board of Management Mr. Kemalettin Solmaz, The Vice Chairman of Board of Management Mr. Cüneyd Işıngör and General Secretary Mr. Meriç Yıldırım attended to the meeting on behalf of SSTD. The notes regarding problems encountered in fairgrounds and solution of the aforementioned problems were compared.

At the meeting the steps to be taken in medium and long terms were discussed in details.

The relations between fair organizers stand design and applicators and customers in fair stand applications were evaluated. The structural safety, fire safety, occupational safety of the executed works and constructed stands at the fairgrounds were discussed. The issues regarding infrastructure and superstructure, matters related with electricity, cleaning, waste materials, safety, logistics were examined in terms of functionality and visual.

At the meeting which was efficient significantly, SSTD Chairman of Board of Management Mr. Kemalettin Solmaz stated that the companies represented under the umbrella of the association were disposed to undertake duties and responsibilities at either national basis or in the works among the institutions.

At the end of the meeting it was decided that SSTD would prepare a report presenting the situation in Turkey and the things to be performed while carrying out the other works.
